Applied Power Products is in search for a Quality Control Manager. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker who will proactively improve the quality systems of the company through internal audits, participation in process improvement programs, and interaction with key partners to obtain constructive feedback.

Applied Power Products is a multi-faceted organization that combines distribution and fabrication to serve the needs of customers in the Upper Midwest and around the world. Our company is headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota. This facility also handles the distribution of seals, hose assemblies, power transmission products and conveyor belting. The fabrication division, also located in Lakeville, MN, offers die cut and water jet cut services, as well as, molded and extruded parts from a wide variety of materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and improve standardized production, quality, and customer-service standards
• Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
• Interact with customers in regards to quality of parts and processes
• Perform daily quality inspections
• Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings
• Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training and performance evaluations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
• Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)
• ISO 9001: 5 years (Preferred)
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
